HD33 Certikin Main Drain

Featuring Certikin's unique grille design and available for concrete or liner pools the HD33 drain is used to draw the base water for filtering and is also used as the principal method of emptying the pool.

With a brand new mould and taking advantage of improvements in technology since 1968 (when the original Certikin Main Drain was first made) the new Certikin Main Drain has the same consistent quality as the other Certikin ABS white goods.

Current recommendations state that every pool should have at least two Main Drains. Therefore, at least one Main Drain on every pool will need the bottom port sealed off - that?s why the new Certikin Main Drain body has a knock-out blanking plate in the bottom port to save you time and money on site.

Both concrete and liner types come complete with self-tapping fixings screws for added safety. Manufactured in white ABS. Velocity of swimming pool main sump water should not exceed 1ft per second (0.3m/s). When choosing sump size always assume that total flow may be directed to the plant room via the sump(s) - sump size should be chosen accordingly. Main drains must be arranged so that there is no risk of bathers being drawn towards themor trapped there. It is recommended that on all installations, including domestic, a minimumof 2 x main drains are installed.

Please Note: On commercial or shallow pool applications stainless steel main drain grilles must be used. • ZZ0301 / ZZ352 - Concrete/ Liner Main Drain complete with anti vortex grille (Anti entrapment), threaded plug, threaded reducer (bush) and socket nipple - this kit is needed when installing a new Main Drain
• ZZ0302 / ZZ0353P - Concrete/ Liner Main Drain complete with anti vortex grille (Anti entrapment), threaded reducer (bush), socket nipple, hydrostatic relief valve and collection tube - this kit is used when building the pool and advised if you havea high water table and / or concrete construction
