FAQS

What other names is pH Reducer known by?

pH Increaser is also known as pH Plus, Alkali, Soda Ash or Sodium Carbonate.

What Happens If I Put Too Much pH Increaser In My Water?

If the pH rises above 7.8, the water becomes excessively alkaline. When this happens, chlorine — the chemical responsible for killing harmful pathogens — becomes less effective. High pH levels can also lead to skin irritation, cloudy water, and buildup on pool equipment.

Can I Swim In My Pool After Increasing My pH?

When using a pH increaser in your pool or spa, it's recommended to add the solution near the water inlets to ensure even distribution. After about 30 minutes, test the pH again. If it falls within the safe range of 7.2-7.6, you can safely swim.
