Shadow Basalt Flamed Pool Copings have been gently flamed to create a non slip, smooth surface with a matt or low sheen. The stone has black tones. One long edge of each coping stone is bull-nosed.
The Shadow Basalt Honed Pool Copings are available in a 30mm thickness. The bespoke sizes can be fabricated in our suppliers onsite masonry factory.

What is Sawn Paving?
Paving slabs described as Sawn Paving, have been machine sawn, creating an accurate, angular edge, which is also sometimes referred to as rectified. The term sawn on six sides means the four edges plus the top and underneath surface of a paver too. This method of cutting produces a very contemporary style of slab.

A flamed finish can be applied to certain stones such as granite. When an intense flame is directed at the surface it causes certain crystal particles to burst, creating an overall roughness or pitted surface.
