5kg 200g Stabilised Chlorine Tablets (Trichlor)
These stabilised chlorine tablets from Ambassador Pools are among the most popular products in our swimming pool chemicals range. They offer a convenient way to dose your pool water and ensure it stays clean and safe for swimming.
Slow-dissolving chlorine tablets can be deposited via floating dispensers and chlorine feeders for easy application. The tablets will erode over 3-5 days, continually releasing chlorine into your pool. As the chlorine is slow release, you may need to shock your pool before the first use to establish a sufficient chlorine level more rapidly.
See our 200g chlorine tablets guide to find out more about their application.
Lead Time: Next Working Day
It’s no secret that chlorine is one of the most popular and widely used sanitising chemicals for pools. There are some things to remember when using chlorine tablets to ensure you get the most out of their effects and don’t risk misuse.
Traditionally, chlorine tablets have been used in skimmers; however, we do not recommend doing this. When the pump is off, high levels of chlorine can get in and around the skimmer, making them brittle and causing bleaching on pool surfaces.

Before using the chlorine tablets, adjust pH levels to the ideal range of 7.2 - 7.6.
Do not add the tablets directly to your pool; they have a high chlorine content. Always use a clean applicator according to the directions below, with no other products present.
Chlorine Tablets in Floating Dispenser:
Fill the floating dispenser with your chlorine tablet and adjust the aperture mechanism at the bottom of the dispenser to obtain the 1–3 mg/l (ppm) desired range. Alternatively, keep the dispenser aperture constant and vary the tablets inside to achieve 1–3 mg/l (ppm). The dispenser should be removed from the pool while swimmers are bathin
Chlorine Tablets in Chlorine Feeders:
Few feeders take this larger 200g tablet, so the smaller 20g chlorine tablets may be required. However, if appropriate, fill the dispenser and follow the feeder instruction manual on flow regulation to maintain 1–3 mg/l (ppm) chlorine levels.
